MEALS IN OUR TRIP

BREAKFAST (B) Fruit Salad, oatmeal, pancakes, cereal, tea, coffee, milk, bread with a selection for it, butter, flavored jam, honey, etc
SNACKS (D) Included a bag with, biscuits, a few sweets, and also some fruits like apple, bananas or orange
LUNCH (L) the biggest meal of the day, always with a soup,cream of asparagus, tomatoes, corn, or vegetables and noodle soup.and then a meat (poultry,fish,pork,beef+ a grain “most likely quinoa or white rice” + veggies + variety salad+ drinks “hot and cold drinks”
TEA TIME (T) at 4 o’clock every afternoon (tea, coffee, chocolate muffins, cookies, popcorn, etc).
DINNER (C) Mously like Lunch, included dessert. chocolate pudding.Rice pudding, and others
But I know we had dessert each night.
Every meal we offer hot drinks, including coca leaf tea which is excellent for the altitude.

Itinerary:

DAY 1: CUSCO-MOLLEPATA - SORAYPAMPA.

4:30 am Pick up from the hotel, by tourist bus, we travel to Mollepata. An anden village was a nice and hot local breakfast is waiting for us, 9:00 a.m. we begin our journey, a hike up to Tres Cruces, lunch with a spectacular view of the Limatambo Valley, we will continue our trek to Markokasa, from this point we see the Salkantay Mountain and about 4:30 p.m. arrive at Soraypampa, (3500 meters or 20.671 feet), our first camp site (4000m/12750ft; the highest and coldest camp site of the trip) taking in the beautiful landscape along the way.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Teatime, Dinner.

DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA - HUAYRACPUNKU - COLLPAPAMPA

We will have a hot breakfast around 5.30am and begin our walk to the highest pass on this trek(4650m/15200ft) located halfway between 2 huge mountains; Salkantay on the right and Humantay on the left (Humantay; 4120m/13500ft and Salkantay; 6271m/20575ft). From the pass, the views of the 2 snow-capped mountains are incredible. There is a possibility of snow here. we will have a small and a short ceremony,

This ceremony is known as Payment to Earth or Pachamama (Jaywarikuy), in which we need to leave into the rocks some coca leaves for Mother Earth requesting the permit to continue and have a fabulous and memorable trip.

we will continue our walk (downhill) through a dramatic cloud forest towards we arrive at Huayracpunku where we will have lunch. We hike again after lunch in the direction of the start of the jungle until we reach our second campsite, Colcapampa (3000m/9800ft). Another possible campsite is Challway.

lunch at a place called Huayrac, begin to descend towards Challhuay pampa. Following the time course of the river Salkantay, at this point, we will have the opportunity to see the Andean beautiful scenery in this place we camp. (2900 approx.).

DAY 3: COLLPAPAMPA - LA PLAYA - LUCMABAMBA.

Today we will pass through valleys and have wonderful views of waterfalls, tropical fruits, and plants. We will camp in LaPlaya. After a rest, we will (optionally) go to the hot springs and enjoy the well-deserved soothing water, a real treat after finishing the trek!
After breakfast, at 6.30am, we start trekking for the day through the upper jungle crossing the Lluskamayo River and a variety of little brooks. The way it is more stable with a warm climate, Lunch on the way, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic valleys, waterfalls, taste tropical fruits, beautiful flowers, colorful birds, will arrive at Lucmabambaour campsite.

DAY 4: LUCMABAMBA-ARCHAEOLOGICALSITE PATALLACTA - HYDROELECTRIC - MACHUPICCHU PUEBLO.

After an early breakfast, we will head to the LLactapata access. Once at the Llactapata entrance, you will start an ascend hike towards the ruins of Llactapata. On the way, you will observe coffee plantations, beautiful landscapes as well as diverse flora and fauna. After three hours, you will arrive at Llactapata where you will have an amazing view of Machu Picchu. Here you will have time to rest and enjoy the scenery. A descending trail will take you to the Hydroelectric of Santa Teresa where you will eat lunch at a local restaurant. A local train will take you to Aguas Calientes in about 45 minutes. Upon arrival, you will be accommodated at the hostel (included on this package). You will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 5: FULL DAY MACHUPICCHU

We have breakfast and then take the bus (8 am) up to Machu Picchu. A walking tour (approximately 2 hours) is given by your guide and after this, you can explore the mysterious city by yourselves. If you have the energy you can also climb Huayna Picchu (2720m/8890ft)!!! (It takes about 45 minutes to reach the top.) Optional evening visit to the Hot Springs. Overnight in Machupicchu Village.

Meals: Breakfast.

DAY 06: MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO.

Today we'll start with a breakfast at the hotel before we head back to Machu Picchu. We'll take a bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. Depending on your entrance time for Huayna Picchu you can walk around for a while before entering, but they are very strict about the entrance times, so make sure to be on time! You will need to show your entrance ticket for Huayna Picchu and your passport. If you had a student discount when you booked, you will also need to show your ISIC (International Student Identity Card).

It should take about 45 minutes to get to the top and once there you can rest from the strenuous and daunting climb up the mountain as well as enjoying the wonderful view of Machu Picchu and the surrounding mountains and valley. After climbing back down to Machu Picchu you can roam around Machu Picchu again or you can go back to Aguas Calientes right away. You can take a bus down to Aguas Calientes and from there, depending on your train schedule take your Expedition train to Ollantaytambo. In Ollantaytambo, you will be picked up and driven back to Cusco.

  • The itinerary is subject to change depending on the time of booking and campsites spaces at the moment that we arrive in there).
  • The camps can vary depending on climate and health status of clients.
  • Train Included in all tours is service expedition (Machupicchu to Ollantaytambo) Train times will only be confirmed closer to the time of the trek, if join a group late in the day we can't guarantee you will travel on the same trains as the rest of the group.
  • Train time is subject to change depending on Peru Rail timetable and availability
  • To qualify as a student, it is necessary to have a valid ISIC card. scan and email us at the time of booking.
