DAY 01: LIMA

Reception in Lima City and transfer to the hotel.

Our staff will be waiting for you in the arrival hall with a sign with your name and our company logo. Previously we will be in contact via e-mail or phone number or whatsapp.

In the course of the trip you will be given a previous introduction of our activities, including maps, and recommendations of the best places to eat, among other useful information.

DAY 02: LIMA - CITY TOUR

Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning, we will start our excursion.

LIMA CITY TOUR in the City of the Kings

We will start our tour through the modern residential districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. We will go through the Financial Center, the Golf, the Olivar, the Pucllana Huaca, a pre-Inca ceremonial temple in the shape of a pyramid that has survived the urban expansion of Lima. We will make a stop at the Love Park located on the Miraflores boardwalk, from where we will observe the Pacific Ocean.

LIMA COLONIAL: Continuing our tour, we will head towards the Historical Center of Lima, declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1991, where the center of the Spanish colony was established in the 16th century and the first buildings were erected. We will visit San Martin Square, its balconies and old houses, the Main Square, and its most important buildings such as the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop's and Municipal Palace, the Desamparados Station, among others.

We will enter one of the most important convents of the 17th century. We will visit the old Library, the Choir, the Main Cloister, and the underground crypts known as Catacombs.

Free afternoon.

MUSICULINARIA "Ode to the Gastronomic Capital of Latin America".

Peru, the capital of Peruvian Gastronomy, hosts this live culinary and musical experience at a "huarique" located in an old colonial estate in Lima. Guests will enjoy a live music show and exquisite recipes made with fresh Peruvian ingredients from the coast, highlands, and jungle.

At this venue, we will have a delightful tasting experience with the most representative dishes and desserts of Peruvian gastronomy, accompanied by an impressive artistic show that merges music with gastronomy during the preparation time.

DAY 03: LIMA / CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer to the airport. Arrival in the city of Cusco, reception, and transfer to the selected hotel with a welcome coca mate tea. Rest of the day to acclimate to the altitude of approximately 3,350 meters above sea level.

DAY 04: LIMA / CUSCO - CITY TOUR & INCA TEMPLES

Breakfast at the hotel. Between 13:20 and 13:45 hrs, we will start picking up guests from their hotels to begin the city and nearby ruins tour. The tour will show us the impressive colonial city built on Inca foundations. We will visit THE CATHEDRAL, with Renaissance structure and fine paintings from the "Cusco School," KORICANCHA, or Temple of the Sun. We will continue with the visit to the four ruins surrounding Cusco: SACSAYHUAMAN (a grand fortress located 5 km from the city), QENQO (sacred amphitheater, center of worship to the Puma God, where human sacrifices were made), PUCAPUCARA ("red fortress" due to the color of its rocks during twilight), and TAMBOMACHAY (a temple to worship water). Return to the hotel.

DAY 05: CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, pick up at the hotel to visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas. During the tour, we will visit the town of Pisac, a picturesque colonial mestizo village. On Sundays, the Mass is celebrated in Quechua. Then we will visit the towns of Ccoya, Lamay, Calca, and Urubamba. Buffet lunch. In the afternoon, we will have a guided tour of the town of Ollantaytambo, where the Ollantaytambo archaeological park is located, a gigantic agricultural, administrative, social, religious, and military complex during the time of Tahuantinsuyo. Return to the hotel.

DAY 06: CUSCO - MACHUPICCHU

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer to the train station to start our journey to the Machu Picchu citadel. After a train ride, we will arrive at the Machu Picchu station, in the town of Aguas Calientes. We will begin the excursion to Machu Picchu. We will take the buses that will take us to the Lost City of the Incas, "Machu Picchu", the most famous example of Inca architecture, discovered in 1911. We will enjoy a guided tour of the main buildings of the citadel such as: The Lookout, Temple of the Three Windows, The Intihuatana, The Main Square, etc. At the end of this tour, we will take the bus back down to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Rest of the afternoon free. In the afternoon, we will take a train to Cusco. Arrival in the city of Cusco and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 07: CUSCO / PUNO

Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning, departure by tourist bus to the city of Puno (3,860 meters above sea level). During the trip, we will pass through the picturesque town of Andahuaylillas, where we will visit THE ANDAHUAYLILLAS CHAPEL (3,093 meters above sea level). It is a church dating back to the 17th century, also known as the Sistine Chapel of the Andes for the beauty of its murals, gold leaf work, and paintings from the Cusco school housed inside.

IMPORTANT. The visit lasts 25 minutes / Filming or taking photos inside is not allowed.

On the way, we will stop at THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMPLEX OF RAQCHI (3,450 meters above sea level). Also known as the Temple of the god WIRACOCHA, who was the supreme deity Inka, in this place, we will find the largest number of Colcas (Granaries) and magnificent stone and adobe buildings.

IMPORTANT. The visit lasts 40 minutes / We recommend the use of hats and sunscreen.

Continuing with the trip, we head to a tourist restaurant to enjoy lunch. Lunch is buffet style and is included. This restaurant enjoys good prestige and is known for the good seasoning of its chefs. It is strategically located on the outskirts of the town of Sicuani. The buffet consists of a wide range of national and regional food, appetizers, fresh vegetables, side dishes, the most delicious desserts, hot drinks (coca tea, coffee, or tea) that are included in the ticket price.

IMPORTANT. Lunch lasts 40 minutes / Cold drinks such as water, soda, or beer are not included in the buffet.

Approximately 70 km further, we will reach the La Raya pass (4,335 meters above sea level), which is the border between the cities of Cusco and Puno at more than 4335 meters above sea level, where the famous CHIMBOYA snow-capped mountain is located, from where the Amazon River is born. Tourists can take photos of the landscape, and the visit lasts from 5 to 7 minutes.

IMPORTANT. The visit time lasts between 7 to 10 minutes / We recommend wearing extra warm clothes / Drinking coca tea to counteract altitude sickness.

Nuestra última visita es en esta ruta es EL MUSEO LITICO DE PUKARA. (3,900 MSNM) qu e es una cultura que se desarrolló los 1600 AC hasta los 400 DC ubicado a 106 Km. al mor. Este de la ciudad de Puno, en este museo podremos encontrar cerámicas y esculturas representando figuras zoo mórficas, entre ellas la famosa escultura del HATUNÑAQAC que en nuestros tiempos se traduciría como el supremo degollador.

DAY 08: PUNO – UROS ISLAND AND TAQUILE

UROS ISLAND AND TAQUILE + LUNCH

At around 06:30, we leave from the port of Puno to head to the floating islands of Uros. Here we will appreciate the group of small islands inhabited by descendants of one of the oldest cultures in America. Built with totora, we will appreciate the way of life of the local inhabitants, whose main activities are hunting, fishing, and craftsmanship. Continuing our boat tour, we head to Taquile. (Approximate travel duration 2 ½ hours).

Taquile is an island located in the heart of Lake Titicaca, between 3810 and 4100 meters above sea level. With an infinity of cultivation terraces, approximately 2500 people grouped in 500 families inhabit the island. They are characterized by their fine craftsmanship, which is why in 2005 UNESCO declared this island a MASTERPIECE OF THE ORAL AND INTANGIBLE HERITAGE OF HUMANITY. Upon arriving on the island, the locals will welcome us, and then we will start a walk of at least 35 minutes to reach the main square. The included lunch made with local products consists of a quinoa soup, trout, and muña mate. In the afternoon, we will descend to the port to embark on our way back to Puno. We will arrive at the port of Puno and then be transferred to our hotels.

DAY 09: PUNO / LA PAZ – ISLA DEL SOL

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up from the hotel in Puno and transfer to Copacabana (3810 meters above sea level), passing through Kasani (Peru-Bolivia border), approximately 3 ½ hours. Arrival in Copacabana, and we will go to the port to leave by speedboat (50 minutes) to the Isla del Sol, where we will visit the Palace of the Inca "Pilcokaina" and have a typical dish called Apthapi (the main products are potatoes, chuño, beans, mote, cold cheese, banana, boiled or fried egg), and then continue with a panoramic walk towards the Community of Yumani, where we will visit the Inca's Garden, the Sacred Fountain of the Incas, and the Yumani Stairs. Return by speedboat to Copacabana (50 minutes) with a short stop at the artificial floating islands of Chañi (where we will learn about the work with totora). Arrival in Copacabana to visit the Church, the Local Market, and then head towards the city of La Paz (3 ½ hours). On the way, we will cross the narrowest part of Lake Titicaca, the Tiquina Strait, by motorboat (20 minutes), which divides the Lesser Lake (Wiñaymarka) from the Greater Lake (Chucuito). Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 10: LA PAZ - CITY TOUR AND VALLE DE LA LUNA

Breakfast at the hotel. In the afternoon, around 3pm, we will begin our City tour of La Paz. We start with a visit to the city's traditional markets, panoramic view of San Pedro prison, famous for its infrastructure and constitution unlike other prisons; use of the world's longest cable car system, and a visit to the famous Valle de la Luna, located 10km from the center of La Paz, with curious clay formations created by erosion from winds and strong rains, named after the famous astronaut Neil Armstrong. Then we will go to the Killi Killi viewpoint, crossing the residential area of La Paz and the highest soccer stadium in the world, where we can have a spectacular 360° view of the city of La Paz. Later we will visit the historical center of the city where we can see Plaza Murillo, the Legislative Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Church of San Francisco. Finally, we will visit the "Witches' Market" (understanding mystical aspects of Andean rituals and beliefs). Return to the hotel.

DAY 11: LA PAZ - UYUNI SALT FLAT

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Uyuni, arrival and transfer to the town of Uyuni.

At 09:30 we begin the tour: We will visit the Train Cemetery (old locomotives that were used to transport minerals), continue to the entrance of the white deserts in their fullness, typical landscapes of extraction such as salt mounds and salt eyes, and continue with the visit to the town of Coquesa, where we will visit its famous mummies (700 years old, which preserve almost intact parts of the skin, hair, and nails), and we can observe the flamingos from the Tunupa Volcano viewpoint.

Lunch in the center of the Salt Flat (only in the dry season).

We visit the first salt hotel, now a museum, and then the Incahuasi Island, a typical place with the presence of giant cacti in a volcanic rock habitat.

Transfer to Colchani to spend the night in a salt hotel.

Rainy Season: It is not possible to visit Incahuasi Island and the town of Coquesa (mummies and Tunupa Volcano).

DAY 12: COLCHANI - UYUNI - DESERT

Breakfast at the hotel. At 09:30 we will visit the indigenous community of Colchani, observe the production of iodized salt in its rustic form. We continue our tour towards the San Cristóbal Church, Ollague Volcano viewpoint, Capaña and Hedionda Lagoons. Lunch on the way. Arrival and overnight stay in a desert hotel.

INCLUDES: 4x4 transportation, Spanish-speaking driver guide, entrance fees, 01 bottle of water, lunch, and first aid kit.

DAY 13: UYUNI / DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel. Our tour begins at 06:00, visiting the Stone Tree (geomorphic formations caused by wind erosion, located within the Eduardo Abaroa Reserve), Colorada Lagoon (the red color of its waters is due to red sediments and pigments from some types of algae, it is a breeding ground for Andean flamingos, migratory birds that number in the thousands in its mineral-rich waters), Geysers, Polques Thermal Baths (where you can enjoy a refreshing and energizing hot bath in the middle of the desert). Lunch on the way. Then, we will visit the Green Lagoon (named for its impressive emerald green color) and we can appreciate the Licancabur Volcano. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board the flight to La Paz (airfare not included).
