High in the Peruvian Andes, a jewel of the Inca legacy rises, continuing to amaze the world with its architectural complexity and profound connection to the past. Machu Picchu, a symbol of adventure, grandeur, and mystery, invites you to discover its natural surroundings and the secrets that await you.
Visiting the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
On your first day in Cusco, our staff will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it, either at the bus station or at the airport. After locating you, they will escort you to your hotel in our tour unit so you can rest and unpack your belongings.
As outlined in our itinerary, we will pick you up from your hotel to start the Cusco City Tour. Our journey begins at QORICANCHA, one of the most revered temples in the Imperial City. Known as the Temple of the Sun, this sacred site also marks the starting point of the Inti Raymi celebration.
We will continue to SACSAYHUAMAN (the Great Fortress), located approximately 3,700 meters above sea level, about 5 kilometers from the city center. This impressive archaeological park is among the largest in Cusco and plays a key role in the Inti Raymi celebration. Our tour continues to QENQO, a ceremonial site once used for rituals including human sacrifices. Afterwards, we will visit Pucapucara, the striking red fortress, known for the vibrant hues it reflects during sunset. A few more meters further, we will reach Tambomachay, a site dedicated to the worship of water. These Inca constructions showcase the advanced engineering behind their water channel systems.
