ITINERARY

DAY 01: “ARRIVAL IN LIMA”

Upon arrival in Lima, whether by air or land, one of our representatives will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it. They will then guide you to our tour vehicle, which will comfortably transfer you to your accommodation. Once there, you can settle in and relax after your trip.

The rest of the day will be free for you to explore the city on your own and see the highlights of Peru's capital.

DAY 02: “ICA - PARACAS - HUACACHINA OASIS TOUR”

On the second day of our journey, we will begin with a delicious break to enjoy a nutritious breakfast, which will include freshly brewed coffee, traditional breads, and natural juices from the area.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., we will prepare to depart for the Paracas pier, where we will board a speedboat that will take us to the Ballestas Islands. During the sea voyage, we will admire the mysterious geoglyph called "El Candelabro," carved into a hill, and observe various species of marine life such as sea lions, penguins, pelicans, guano birds, and, with a bit of luck, some dolphins.

Once we have concluded our visit to the islands, we will continue to the city of Ica, where we will enjoy lunch at the "Cultur Pisco" restaurant and vineyard. There, we will not only savor typical dishes from the region, but also learn about the wine and pisco production process, including a guided tasting of both beverages.

Afterward, we will head to the famous Huacachina Oasis, the perfect setting for an adrenaline-filled experience aboard tubular tubes and sandboarding on the impressive desert dunes. This location offers an ideal setting for capturing incredible photographs and capturing unforgettable moments.

Finally, we will board our tour bus to the city of Nazca, where you can relax or prepare for the next day's activities.

DAY 03: “NAZCA LINES - ARRIVAL IN AREQUIPA”

Our experience at the Nazca Lines begins with a transfer to the Ica airfield, a site specially designed for sightseeing flights. There, we will prepare for the exciting flight over the Nazca Lines, which will allow us to appreciate the astonishing geoglyphs from above.

Before takeoff, we will attend a briefing to learn about the historical and cultural context of these mysterious figures carved in the desert.

During the flight, we will observe some of Nazca's most famous silhouettes, such as the hummingbird, the monkey, the spider, the condor, the dog, the astronaut, and the whale. These impressive representations, visible only from the air, stand out for their precision and symbolism.

At the end of the flight, we will return you to your hotel so you can rest. Later, we will take the tourist bus to the city of Arequipa.

DAY 04: “AREQUIPA CITY TOUR AND COUNTRYSIDE TOUR”

On the fourth day of our journey, we will pick you up from your accommodation to begin an unforgettable day aboard the Mirabus, exploring the charms of Arequipa. We will begin in the picturesque Yanahuara district, famous for its colonial-arched lookout point and its traditional cheese ice cream, which you can sample while admiring a spectacular view of the city and its volcanoes.

We will then head to the Carmen Alto viewpoint in the Cayma district, where a panoramic view of the Arequipa countryside and the beautiful Chilina Valley awaits.

The route continues with a stop at the Inka Alpaca shop, ideal for purchasing local handicrafts and observing Andean camelids like llamas and alpacas up close in its small zoo.

Later, we will visit the historic home of Manuel García Carbajal, recognized as the founder of Arequipa, where we will learn more about the city's origins and legacy.

To conclude the day, we will explore the charming Sabandía windmill, a perfect place to relax, take photographs, or, if you wish, enjoy a different experience by riding a horse or touring the area on an ATV.

DAY 05: “AREQUIPA - COLCA CANYON TOUR”

On the fifth day of our adventure, between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your accommodation to begin the journey to the Colca Canyon. During the journey, we will skirt the foothills of the Chachani Volcano while crossing the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, a protected area rich in Andean biodiversity.

We will make a brief stop at Patahuasi, a place renowned for its unique rock formations that captivate all who visit.

Along the way, we will also be able to observe llamas, alpacas, and the characteristic wetlands that embellish the landscape. We will continue ascending until we reach Patapampa, the highest point of the route, located 4,910 meters above sea level. This spot, known as the "Volcano Viewpoint," offers spectacular views of snow-capped peaks and is perfect for taking photographs and connecting with the tranquility of the surroundings.

Afterward, we will descend toward the charming town of Chivay, where we will enjoy a typical regional lunch.

After lunch, we will transfer you to your hotel to settle in. Later, you will have the opportunity to relax in the hot springs, a perfect place to recharge after a day filled with unforgettable landscapes.

DAY 06: “AREQUIPA - CROSS OF THE CONDOR - ARRIVAL IN PUNO”

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up at 6:20 a.m. and head back to Chivay, where we will meet up with the group with whom we will begin our journey. From there, we will depart on a roughly one-hour drive to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, one of the most important sites in the Colca Canyon. This site offers a unique opportunity to observe the majestic flight of the Andean condor, framed by the breathtaking beauty of the Colca Canyon.

On the way back, we will make several strategic stops at natural viewpoints to admire different landscapes. We will also visit picturesque towns such as Maca, where you can admire its colonial church and, if you wish, enjoy a pisco sour made with sancayo, a delicious local specialty. We will also visit Yanque, a town that preserves its traditions and original charm.

Back in Chivay, we will enjoy lunch prepared with local ingredients. After lunch, we will board our tour bus to Puno. During the trip, we will make brief stops at notable sites such as the Mirador de los Volcanes, Patahuasi, and Lagunillas Lagoon, all perfect for taking photos and soaking in the beauty of the high plateau.

Arrival in Puno is scheduled for around 7:30 p.m., where one of our representatives will be waiting to escort you and comfortably transfer you to your accommodation.

DAY 07: “PUNO - UROS AND TAQUILE ISLAND TOUR”

We will begin a new day exploring one of Puno's most iconic destinations: the Uros Islands. These islands, ingeniously constructed on Lake Titicaca, are made entirely of totora reeds, a plant native to the area that its inhabitants use both in building their homes and in their daily lives.

During the visit, you will learn about the lifestyle of this ancestral community, which has managed to preserve its customs and traditions over time. You're also going to have the opportunity to appreciate their skill in creating handicrafts and textiles, authentic expressions of their history and their close relationship with the natural environment.

The adventure will continue to Taquile Island, famous for its cultural heritage and renowned weaving tradition, declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Here, locals bring their customs to life through their weaving, which reveals their identity and social organization. You will witness craft demonstrations by the locals themselves, as well as performances of dances and other folklore.

To close the day, we will enjoy a traditional lunch on the island, with exceptional views of Lake Titicaca. The menu will include a light appetizer, followed by a main course of grilled trout accompanied by local products, as well as infusions made with Andean herbs. Vegetarian options are also available for those who require them.

DAY 08: “ROUTE OF THE SUN - ARRIVAL IN CUSCO”

We will begin the day with a transfer from your hotel to the city of Cusco. Along the way, we're going to enjoy enchanting Andean landscapes and traditional villages, surrounded by the region's stunning nature. Along the way, we're going to see highlights such as the Urcos Lagoon, the Huacarpay Wetlands, and the meandering Vilcanota River, which will accompany us for much of the journey along the Ruta del Sol.

The first stop will be the town of Pucará, known for its ancient ceramic tradition and its museum, which houses sculptures and stone pieces of great historical value. Later, we will reach the highest point of the route: the La Raya Pass, from where we can enjoy impressive views of the Andean mountain range and the source of the Vilcanota River. Later, we will stop for a buffet lunch at the San Pedro restaurant, offering a wide variety of dishes, including vegetarian, meat, and fish options.

We will continue to the Raqchi archaeological complex, a sacred site dedicated to the god Wiracocha, where monumental structures reveal the power and spirituality of the Inca Empire.

Before arriving in Cusco, we will make one last stop in the Andahuaylillas district, where we will visit its Baroque church, considered the "Sistine Chapel of the Americas" for its extraordinary mural art. If time permits, we will also visit Oropesa, the birthplace of the traditional chuta bread.

We will conclude the day with arrival in Cusco and transfer to your hotel, where you can relax or spend the rest of the day exploring this historic city on your own.

DAY 9: “CUSCO CITY TOUR”

On this new day of adventure, we will pick up your accommodation to begin an interesting guided tour of the historic city of Cusco and its surroundings. We will begin with a visit to the majestic Qoricancha, the ancient Temple of the Sun, considered one of the most venerated sites of the Inca Empire. At this site, where homage was once paid to the Sun God, you can still appreciate the astonishing architecture that blends Inca precision with colonial influence.

We will then head to the outskirts of Cusco to discover the main archaeological sites that protect the city and reveal its historical grandeur. We will begin our visit at Sacsayhuamán, a majestic ceremonial fortress renowned for its enormous stone blocks, assembled with impressive precision that has stood the test of time.

The next stop will be Qenqo, a mysterious sanctuary where ritual ceremonies are believed to have taken place, probably related to the cult of the puma and other symbols of the Andean worldview.

The tour will continue to Pucapucara, known as the "red fortress" due to the reddish hue its stones acquire in the sunset light. This site may have been a checkpoint or resting place for the Inca nobility during their travels.

We will conclude with a visit to Tambomachay, a complex associated with the cult of water, characterized by its aqueducts and fountains that demonstrate the Inca's hydraulic mastery. It is thought that this place served as a place of rest and purification for the empire's elite.

At the end of this tour, we will return you to your hotel, where you can rest peacefully or, if you prefer, continue exploring the city of Cusco at your own pace.

DAY 10: “SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS - ARRIVAL TO MACHUPICCHU TOWN”

We will begin the day with pickup from their hotels between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., marking the beginning of a fascinating tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Our first stop will be the Pisac archaeological park, famous for its agricultural terraces and ancient ceremonial structures that tower over the valley. We will then descend to the town of Pisac to explore its artisan market, where you'll find colorful textiles, traditional ceramics, and other typical regional products.

Following the course of the Vilcanota River, we will arrive in Urubamba, where we will enjoy lunch with authentic Andean dishes at a local restaurant, highlighting the valley's distinctive flavors.

In the afternoon, we will visit the citadel of Ollantaytambo, a fortress with both military and agricultural functions. Walking through its cobblestone streets, we will explore its urban layout and appreciate the valuable historical heritage that this community still maintains.

Before continuing to Machu Picchu Town (Aguas Calientes), we will make a brief stop in Chinchero, a place famous for its textile tradition. Here, we will observe demonstrations of alpaca wool spinning and dyeing using ancient techniques, and visit the ruins that were part of Túpac Inca Yupanqui's palace.

Finally, from Ollantaytambo, we will take the train to Aguas Calientes, where a representative will be waiting to escort you to your accommodation and prepare you for the visit to the impressive Machu Picchu.

>DAY 11: “MACHUPICCHU”

At the agreed-upon time, we will pick you up and take you to the bus station to begin the journey to one of Peru's most important destinations: Machu Picchu.

Once at the summit, we will take a guided tour of the historic sanctuary. During the tour, we will see notable ceremonial structures, including the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Sacred Plaza. During this visit, our guide will explain in detail the cultural, spiritual, astronomical, and social significance of these sacred spaces. We will also explore the agricultural terraces and the sophisticated hydraulic system that reflect the advanced engineering of the Inca civilization.

At the end of the tour, we will descend by bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), where you will have free time for lunch, a stroll through the charming town, a visit to the artisan market, or a visit to the Manuel Chávez Ballón Museum. You can also relax by the Urubamba River.

Finally, in the afternoon, we will escort you to the station for the train back to the Imperial City, thus concluding this unforgettable journey.

DAY 12: “MADRE DE DIOS - ARRIVAL IN PUERTO MALDONADO”

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, known as the Biodiversity Capital of Peru, our team will greet you directly at the airport. We will then begin the program with a bus tour of the city so you can familiarize yourself with the local environment.

We will then head to Puerto Capitanía, where we will board our boat to sail along the Madre de Dios River, arriving at the lodge, located approximately 30 kilometers from the city.

During the journey, you will admire rural areas dedicated to agriculture and livestock near Puerto Maldonado. Weather permitting, you will enjoy the vibrant colors of the heliconias with their giant flowers, and spot various species of wildlife, such as ronsocos, caimans, aquatic turtles, herons, cormorants, and carrion and predatory birds.

Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be greeted with a refreshing nectar prepared with Amazonian tropical fruits and guided to your private and comfortable bungalow. Once settled in, you will enjoy a delicious lunch in our dining room, decorated in a rustic style that invites tranquility and relaxation.

In the afternoon, accompanied by an expert guide, you will walk a marked interpretive trail that leads to Cocha Caimán, a small lagoon where you can observe the black and white caimans, predators that dominate the local food chain, feeding on the abundant aquatic life that inhabits the cocha.

Upon returning to the lodge, you will enjoy a delicious dinner and have free time to relax in our bar, which features a board game room and a wide variety of drinks for your enjoyment.

DAY 13: “APU VICTOR AMAZON LAKE”

The thirteenth day begins with a nutritious breakfast that will provide you with the ideal energy for a morning full of new and exciting experiences. While you enjoy your meal, you can listen to the symphony of birdsong, accompanied by the morning call of the howler monkey.

After breakfast, we will set out on a hike along carefully maintained and marked trails that traverse the deep forest. During the walk, we will cross the riparian forest, then ascend to highland forests, descend to floodplain forests, and finally ascend back to hill forests. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to appreciate the incredible diversity of flora and fauna that inhabits the forest in its natural state.

As we walk, we will learn to identify fruit, forest, and medicinal trees that are essential to animal and human life in this Amazonian region. Among them are species such as aguaje, mahogany, chestnut, catahua, cedar, cetico, copaiba, and shihuahuaco.

In this rainforest, the presence of insects is also notable, including butterflies (Lepidoptera), beetles (Coleoptera), crickets, cicadas, ants, centipedes, and millipedes of various species.

Finally, we will arrive at Lake Apu Víctor, highlighting its extensive swamps and gigantic trees.

From the Amazonian lookout point, a wide observation platform, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the lake, home to parrots, macaws, toucans, herons, and various species of fauna.

Upon returning to the lodge, you will find a restorative lunch to recharge your batteries.

“Monkey Island”

In the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, we will explore Monkey Island, located just minutes from the lodge in the heart of the Madre de Dios River. This island is a refuge for an abundant variety of flora and is home to numerous primates, including the maquisapa, the capuchin, and the lion's puffin. You can also encounter small mammals such as the coati (Nasua), squirrels, and a wide variety of colorful birds.

To end the day, we will enjoy the spectacular sunset together, one of the most impressive sunsets the Peruvian rainforest has to offer.

Finally, back at the lodge, you can enjoy an exquisite farewell dinner to conclude this unforgettable day.

Before starting your return trip, you can enjoy a breakfast with local products in our dining room, surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the Amazonian environment. Then, we will begin the transfer to Puerto Maldonado to board your return flight to Lima, taking with you the memories of an unforgettable experience in the Amazon.
