This tour surrounding Arequipa will take you to visit its best attractions. Our countryside package includes the visit to the Mirador of Carmen Alto, a natural lookout point from where it is possible to make out the Valley of Arequipa with great pre Inca terraces and its volcanoes known as El Misti, Chachani and Picchu Picchu.

Our tour also takes us to the traditional neighborhood of Yanahuara, where we visit its nice church built in colonial times and it traditional arches where part of Arequipa's history was written. At the countryside we will also visit the founder's mansion with its great art collection and the Sabandia Mill, where it is possible to see over 50 types of cactus plants amid a peaceful

YANAHUARA

it is one of the most beautifull countryside of Arequipa, El Mirador de Yanahuara, located on the side of the square od this. Has an extraordinary view of the city. The Yanahuara viewpoint was built in the nineteenth century and is composed of a series of arches of ashlar in which are recorded the words of famous Arequipa and where you can see the whole city and the majestic Misti volcano, even better appreciated if the sky is clear.

THE FOUNDER'S MANSION

It is located 9 km from Arequipa built with sillar stone at the edge of a cliff, it is one of the most important and traditional mansions or houses in the department. According to the story, Garcí Manuel de Carbajal, founder of Arequipa , had it built for his son. Later, in 1785, Mr. Juan Crisóstomo de Goyeneche y Aguerreverre was its proprietor and remodeled it, giving it the distinguished characteristics that can be seen today. The main entrance is composed of a foyer with an arched ceiling, followed by a wide principal patio over which the windows and doors of the bedrooms open.

TIABAYA - SACHACA

located 10 km from Arequipa. The valley is completely agricultural and is believed to have been inhabited by the ethnic groups of the Kuntis from Cabana, the Yanahuaras, and the Chumbivilcas. On November 8th, 1870 , it was given the title of "city" and is famous for its rustic restaurants.

SABANDIA

8 km from Arequipa. Wide terraces and three volcanoes, the Misti, the Chachani, and the Pichu Pichu, provide the scenery around this traditional town. Some of the houses still preserve characteristic styles of the Viceroyalty or of the nineteenth century Republicanism. A recreational area with two swimming pools that use the cold river waters of the surrounding region has been built.

MILL SABANDIA

The Molino de Sabandia is located 8 km south of the city of Arequipa and about 20 minutes by car. On the way you can see the wide terraces and the three volcanoes (the Misti, the Chachani and the Pichu Pichu) that frame the landscape surrounding this traditional village. The Molino de Sabandía, built in 1785, represents the typical architecture of the region in which the use of sillar was predominant. Its solid buttresses and rustic balconies are characteristic, which constitute a historical monument that brings to mind ancient times and the ingenuity and work of the Arequipa people. You can also appreciate the techniques used to process wheat, a process that is done with the huge stone wheels.
