Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, invites you to explore its archaeological legacy through an unforgettable one-day tour. Discover its cobbled streets that preserve traces of ancient Cusco and explore the most important archaeological sites in Cusco, such as Qorikancha, the former Temple of the Sun. Visit the fortress of Sacsayhuamán, an impressive example of Inca engineering and the site of the main Inti Raymi ceremony held annually. From this elevated point, you will enjoy an unmatched panoramic view of the city of Cusco.
This City Tour is an excellent opportunity to learn about the history and spirituality of Cusco. Alongside our guide, you will understand the magnitude of a culture that left its mark on the world with its engineering, cosmic vision, and deep connection to nature.
During the City Tour in the Imperial City, we will begin this tour from the scheduled meeting point to visit the Qorikancha Temple, locally known as the Temple of the Sun. Here, the guide will provide information about the "Machihembrado" technique used in its construction, and we will have free time to take photos.
Then we will head to the archaeological sites of Tambomachay, Puka Pukara, and Sacsayhuamán, places that offer a panoramic view of Cusco. We will stop for about 30 minutes to receive information about their construction and take sunset photos among the ruins.
Finally, we will visit Qenqo before returning to Cusco and ending the tour, 5 hours later, near the Main Square (Plaza de Armas).

Our adventure begins early, around 9:30 a.m., or if you prefer, at 1:30 p.m. During this time, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin our tour at 10:00 a.m. or, accordingly, at 2:00 p.m.
We will begin this journey at the Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha, located near the Main Square of Cusco. Then, by transport, we will visit the fortress of Sacsayhuamán, as well as Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay, which are located a bit further from the city.
Main and central temple of the entire Inca Empire, where the Sun God was worshipped. Its walls were covered with gold plates and contained life-sized figures made of gold. The embalmed remains of the Incas and their wives were kept here. Qoricancha is the starting point of one of Cusco's most important festivities: the Inti Raymi.
Impressive fortress that formed the head of the puma (shape of the ancient city). Final stage of the Inti Raymi and the last great battle against the conquerors. The Inca fortress stands out for its massive stones and precise construction.
Temple of Pachamama where rituals and sacrifices were performed during the winter solstice. Here, you can observe the phenomenon of the “Awakening of the Puma.”
Red fortress used as a checkpoint for entering and leaving the sacred city. Built with large stone walls.
Known as the Inca’s royal baths. Ceremonial center for worshipping water, with fountains still flowing today. A place of rest for the Inca and the Ñusta.
6:30 p.m.: Return to the city of Cusco, dropping you off at your hotel or the beautiful Main Square (Plaza de Armas).
