The first stop will be in Chinchero, a charming Andean village located about 40 minutes north of Cusco. Additionally, local artisans offer textiles made with ancestral techniques still in use today.
Next, we will head to Moray, a unique archaeological complex composed of circular terraces built into natural depressions in the landscape. These terraces served as an agricultural laboratory where the Incas experimented with the cultivation and improvement of various plant species.
Afterward, we will visit the famous Maras Salt Mines, exploited since pre-Inca times. The complex consists of more than 3,000 small salt ponds, traditionally managed by around 380 local families. The salt is extracted from a natural spring that flows from the mountain known as Qoripukiu (“golden spring”).
We will continue to Urubamba to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch prepared with fresh products from the Sacred Valley.
In the afternoon, we will travel to Ollantaytambo, an archaeological center that served as an important multifunctional Inca city with administrative, military, economic, and social purposes. Its strategic location made it a key control point for different ecological regions.
After the visit, we will board the train from Ollantaytambo station to Machu Picchu Town (formerly known as Aguas Calientes). Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to accompany you to your hotel.

Celebrating New Year's Eve in Cusco means experiencing an atmosphere full of energy, festivities, and unique customs that light up the city. Cusco transforms into a grand stage with free concerts, fireworks, local drinks, and traditional rituals that give a unique touch to the celebration.
Come and discover why the ancient capital of the Inca Empire is one of Peru’s most popular destinations to celebrate the year-end holidays.
THE LAP AROUND PLAZA DE ARMAS
The city of Cusco lights up with the explosion of fireworks illuminating the sky. The Plaza de Armas becomes the heart of the party, shining both from the official show organized by the municipality and from the fireworks set off by the attendees themselves, creating a magical and unforgettable atmosphere. From the hills surrounding the city, you can also see hundreds of lights—perhaps more modest—but adding to the night’s illumination.
One of the most iconic customs happens exactly at midnight on December 31st: hundreds of people run counterclockwise around the Plaza de Armas, a ritual full of energy and hope to welcome the New Year. In that moment, people—whether they know each other or not—join hands and begin to circle together around the square. The crowd’s flow carries you: depending on its pace, you might walk slowly or run enthusiastically, as if each lap helped leave the past behind and open the way for a fresh start.

This city, considered a living museum, offers countless cultural, culinary, and artistic experiences that will make your visit unforgettable.
We recommend exploring Cusco’s traditional neighborhoods, like San Blas, known as the artisan district, where you’ll find workshops, galleries, and the famous 12-angled stone, a symbol of Inca architectural perfection. You can also visit the imposing Cusco Cathedral, located in the Main Square, which houses valuable artworks from the Cusco School.
Another must-visit spot is the San Pedro Market, where you can sample a wide variety of local dishes and beverages, as well as observe the daily life of Cusqueños.
For history and culture lovers, Cusco offers numerous museums like the Inka Museum, the Garcilaso House Museum, and themed spaces like the Coffee and Cocoa Museum, where you can learn more about these key Peruvian products.
